Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Okehampton Cycles

North Road Okehampton, Devon EX20 1BQ, B3217, Okehampton EX20 1BQ, UK – 01837 53811

Bought 2 ebikes 18 months ago from Josh in Oke Cycles. Brilliantly competitive pricing. The 5 stars are carefully considered. The after sales experience has been so much better than friends who have bought bikes elsewhere and (worse) online. Really pleased we chose to buy from them.

Very helpful staff and a great selection of bikes

Well kept. very polite staff.

It's got really fun activities and the fact that they have bunk beds and you can paddle in spare time is cool!

YHA Okehampton Youth Hostel

Klondyke Rd, Okehampton EX20 1EW, UK – 01837 53916

Staff friendly and helpful. Building well maintained. Games room week stocked cost 50 pence for pool and fussball. Food was good price and kids under 10 ate free with a paying adult. Breakfast good though the coffee was undrinkable sachets (please get proper coffee as it let's breakfast down). Beds comfy but some pillows flat and hard and some beds so squeaky that kept others awake in room. Room 32 lower bunk on left was terrible. Overall pleasant stay. Kitchen with fridge and freezer great!

Great YHA in a good location - staff excellent and nice and clean. A star less as the kitchen was a bit low on equipment amd could be better. I do worry that YHA is getting too hotel like and expensive though....

O'Connors Campers

Highlands, Old Rd, Okehampton EX20 1SP, UK – 01837 659599

Back from one night away in one of the beautiful iconic vintage campers. O'Connors were fabulous hosts - friendly and efficient on our arrival to collect the van and helpful in every way. They had recommended the campsite and it more than lived up to our expectations with its stunning location and amenities plus friendly staff. The van was a masterclass in compact design and everything worked perfectly. My two boys were so excited to be sleeping in the pop up hood of the camper! I slept down on the double bed which was very comfortable & cosy! The van was equipped with everything you would need and was spotlessly clean. I can't wait until our next adventure. Thanks O'Connors!

Our second time in an O’Connors van...this time a 2 night stay in California ‘Parker’ around the Devon beaches. Friendly, super helpful staff. Wonderfully appointed van with everything you could need. Nice trip, would have been even better if our 3 year old wasn’t poorly (clearly not the campervans fault) but to be honest the van made it easier to still get out in the sunshine, sit outside on the chairs with a drink and allow toddler to sleep it off! Safety net for kids sleeping up top is a great idea if you have small kids. Thoroughly recommend O’Connors campers and hope to be using you again soon! Thank you!
